About the Author

A.J. Russo, Ph.D.

A.J. Russo, a native of New York, received his bachelor's degree in biology from Hobart College in Geneva, N.Y. and his M.S. and Ph.D. from Roswell Park Memorial Institute, a division of S.U.N.Y. at Buffalo. He has spent the last fifteen years at Mount Saint Mary's College in Emmitsburg, Maryland, teaching undergraduate biology courses and doing research in the areas of immunology and molecular biology. A.J. is the author of more than thirty research articles, six novels, and numerous educational software packages.

When he's not in the lab or classroom, he can sometimes be found jogging, playing racquetball, watching lacrosse games or spending time with his family. A.J. has two sons, Alex who is twenty-four years old and Travis who is twenty, and a lovely wife, Megan, whose strength and loving personality is portrayed in his first novel and screenplay, Fragile Egg.
